Bringing free public programming and tourism to Seneca Falls

Seneca Falls, N.Y. – The Seneca Falls Museum and Tourism Center, home of the Seneca Museum of Waterways and Industry, is excited to announce its partnership with the Bonafiglia Family Foundation to bring a variety of free public programming to Seneca Falls.

Thanks to a $20,000 grant made possible by the Bonafiglia Family Foundation, from June through August, the Museum will host the Free Music in the Park Concert Series every Thursday night from 6-8pm in People’s Park in Seneca Falls. This will be in conjunction with Summer Thursdays where participating local downtown and Sacket District businesses are promoted for shopping and dining specials.

The Outdoor Art Festival will take place again along the Cayuga Seneca Canal. This free community event will showcase a vibrant mix of local art vendors, food trucks, face painting, live music and family-friendly activities. The Museum will also be creating an art trail brochure that will help guide visitors around Seneca Falls to the award-winning murals, various art installations, art stores and galleries.

An inaugural program, the “25 in 250” Speaker Series, will welcome 25 speakers to the Museum throughout the year to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. Speakers will be presenting on what Seneca Falls means to the United States. “Working with the Bonafiglia Family Foundation is a wonderful opportunity to continue to promote the rich arts, culture, and
history in and around Seneca Falls,” says the Executive Director, Dr. Andrew Olden of the Seneca Falls Museum and Tourism Center.

“Dr. Andrew Olden, his staff, and the Seneca Falls Museum & Tourism Center’s Board of Directors have done a remarkable job honoring our small town’s history while thoughtfully building its future,” said Judy Wentzel, Executive Director of the Bonafiglia Family Foundation. “Tourism plays a vital role in the long‑term sustainability of our community, and the Foundation is proud to support initiatives like this that foster meaningful and positive change.”
Event listings will be updated and available on the Museum’s website at senecamuseum.com.
