Seneca Falls, NY- On Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, the Seneca Falls’ High School, Middle School, & 5th Grade student councils helped the Bonafiglia Family Foundation deliver mini-Christmas trees to Seneca Nursing & Rehab and Huntington Living Center.
“Fostering opportunities to work with our local youth to strengthen community by doing good for others is a part of the Bonafiglia Family Foundation’s mission and focus. The students did a great job, and the community holiday project would have not been as successful and meaningful without their help & participation,” said Judy Wentzel, Executive Director for the Bonafiglia Family Foundation.
The student’s wrote greeting cards, decorated, and delivered a total of 143 mini-Christmas trees to the local nursing homes. “The residents really enjoyed interacting with the students and loved their trees, said Rebecca Butler, Administrator for Seneca Nursing & Rehab. Anthony Noone who oversees the Seneca Falls 5th Grade Student Council shared how one student told him it made him happy he was able to make others happy!
“We want to thank the Bonafiglia Family Foundation for fostering an opportunity for our students to be engaged with our community. So many students said they really enjoyed it and want to be a part of this again next year,” said Mel Morrin, Seneca Falls Middle School Student Council.
